Resources Law Group’s work in conservation real estate includes representing non-profit organizations, for-profit entities, and private individuals in a variety of conservation-focused real property transactions. Our attorneys have extensive experience structuring, negotiating, and documenting all aspects of conservation property transactions. We provide conservation, transactional, and drafting advice to clients on a multitude of fee acquisition and easement projects. Through these efforts, we help protect a broad array of conservation values – including wildlife habitat, open space, agriculture, timber, and working landscapes – across a range of geographies in California and throughout the West. We work closely with federal, state, and local public agencies, as well as with other private funding sources, to structure and coordinate financing for conservation projects, drafting and negotiating grant agreements, and coordinating necessary approvals.
